Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how LegalLimit.com handles visitor information today. Our goal is to be straightforward: the site collects very little data, and this document describes actual practice rather than hypothetical capabilities.
Information we collect
As of the effective date below, LegalLimit.com does not collect personally identifiable information from visitors. Specifically:
- The site does not use cookies to identify, track, or personalize content for visitors.
- The site uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that collects no personally identifiable information. See Analytics below.
- The site does not offer user accounts, and there is no sign-up, sign-in, or profile feature.
- The site does not embed third-party advertising, tracking pixels, or social media trackers.
The only routine data capture associated with the site consists of standard server request logs recorded by our hosting provider, Vercel. These logs may include the requesting IP address, the user agent string, the requested URL, and a timestamp. This is typical operational logging used by virtually all web hosts.
Analytics
LegalLimit.com uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics service, to understand aggregate site usage such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors arrive from. Plausible is cookieless and collects no personally identifiable information: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across other websites or over time. The usage data it produces is aggregated and anonymous, and is processed by Plausible on our behalf.
How information is used
Server logs are used for operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and security, for example to investigate errors or identify abusive request patterns. Logs are retained per our hosting provider's standard retention practices.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not share data with any third party beyond what is inherent in using our hosting provider to serve pages. No data is used for advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on two third-party services. Our hosting provider is Vercel, which may process the server logs described above under its own privacy practices. We use Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookieless usage measurement, as described under Analytics above; Plausible processes aggregate, anonymous usage data on our behalf. We do not integrate advertising networks, cross-site tracking pixels, or social-media trackers.
External links
Articles on LegalLimit.com routinely link to primary sources such as state statutes, court opinions, and agency publications. Those external sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible. Review the privacy policy of any external site before providing information there.
Your browser controls
The site sets no cookies, and our analytics (Plausible) is cookieless and collects no personally identifiable information, so there are no tracking cookies to opt out of on LegalLimit.com. If you wish to further limit the information your browser sends to any website, you can adjust your browser's privacy settings or use the tracking-protection features built into modern browsers.
Future changes
If the site later changes how it collects information — for example by adding user accounts, newsletter sign-ups, or a different analytics or advertising provider — this policy will be updated to describe the change before the new practice takes effect.
Contact
Contact options will be published as the site matures; material changes to this policy will be announced on-site.
Children's privacy
LegalLimit.com is intended for a general adult audience. The site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and no information is knowingly collected from children under 13.
